LA is the BIG CITY! If you’re a regular, we trust you know where you want to be. If not, allow us to give you a few recommendations, based on the locations of where the events will be :)

Neighborhooods

The first two events will be at/by Zara’s parents in Rancho Palos Verdes (South LA).

The Reception will be held at the LA River Center and Gardens (Northeast LA). These places are about an hour's drive apart, so where you choose to stay will make a big difference.

If you’d like to stay closer to the first two events, some beachy neighborhoods we recommend staying in are:

  • Redondo Beach

  • Hermosa Beach

  • Torrance

If you’d like to stay somewhere hip in between both locales, we recommend staying in:

  • Culver City

If you’d like to stay closer to the reception venue and see some more of LA from a central sightseeing location, we recommend staying in:

  • Koreatown

  • Downtown LA

  • Echo Park

  • Silver Lake

These areas each have their own LA vibe. They are full of coffee shops and good food, are near major freeways, and have lots of accommodation options. If you have questions about your Airbnb or hotel, please ask the bride & groom. We’re more than happy to help.

Hotels

Some hotel suggestions we’ve heard good things about (not an exhaustive list by any means):

  • Hi View Inn & Suites (Manhattan Beach)

  • Quality Inn & Suites (Hermosa Beach)

  • Hotel Hermosa (Hermosa Beach)

  • Hilton Los Angeles (Culver City)

  • Palihotel (Culver City)

  • Hotel Normandie LA (Koreatown)

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles Downtown (Little Tokyo)

  • Freehand Los Angeles (Downtown LA)

  • The Line LA (Koreatown)

Getting around

For those of you traveling to sunny Los Angeles, thank you so much! You can fly into LAX, Long Beach Airport, or Burbank depending on where you’re trying to go.

Uber/Lyft is widely available in LA, and you will likely need to use it to get to venues and your accommodation if you do not have a car. If you are in possession of a car, there’s ample parking at each of the event venues.

Doing things

There are SO MANY wonderful things to do in LA! Zara cannot possibly break them down into a short list. However, due to the location of the venues, we highly recommend visiting some of the neighboring beaches and piers and grabbing some tacos or sushi.

We love visiting Griffith Park & Observatory for a hike, having a picnic in Urban Echo Park, and eating at Grand Central Market downtown. We also love visiting the Santa Monica Pier or Venice Canals, going to the Getty Center & Museum, and catching a game at Dodger Stadium. Ask us for additional ideas!
